CWS "Health and Safety in Disaster Recovery" Webinar September 10
Our September 10 webinar focused on health and safety - two vital components of disaster relief and recovery, not only for the survivors, but also for the volunteers who are often in risky environments.
Our August 6th Webinar discussed for "Disaster Preparedness," covering important details often overlooked while preparing for an emergency.
The Emergency Response Specialists will discussed what to expect when disaster strikes. Some important details included: individuals and families are often not aware of the important steps during relief and recovery, leaving many hopeless in the wake of a disaster. For this reason it is important to know where to turn in an emergency. From Disaster Case Management (DCM) to Emotional and Spiritual Care, this webinar covers important details to consider, keeping you from becoming a disaster "victim."
On July 9 and 10, CWS Emergency Response Specialists presented "Long-term Recovery Basics." The webinar covered best practices and important steps to remember as you form a Long-term Recovery Group. There was a special emphasis on Hurricane Sandy. Download the slides for each session here:
